Greetings,

As we go through life it is so important to let our light shine and to represent God well. I love God with all my heart and I want to make Him look good as I travel through this life by walking in love. I'm fully aware that we all have our human frailty's and none of us are perfect, but we can try to be the best that we can be when it comes to how we act and also how we treat people.

My husband and I go out all the time and when we go out for dinner and drinks we carry ourselves in a way that is respectful and never to act in a way where our Christian walk is questionable. We like to enjoy ourselves and have fun without allowing the spirit of religion to dictate our lives. In my opinion the spirit of religion will tell you that you can't drink wine, you can't wear jewelry, you have to wear long dresses to your ankle, and you can't dance to name a few. This form of religion in my opinion puts many people in bondage.

When people ask me if I'm religious my response is no I'm a Christian and my desire is to be spiritual not religious. Some people may get offended by this, but this is my truth.

God has truly changed my life and He is still working on me, and I thank God for the positive changes that I see as well as others. There was a time when I didn't have to take a second thought about telling someone off and they probably got a few choice words as well. I can see how God has changed me in how I respond, and He has shown me how to better say things when an issue needs to be addressed.

2 Corinthians 3:18 King James Version (KJV) says "But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord". God is doing a work in us and we have to be patient with the process and allow God to change us. We cannot change ourselves, but through our efforts and obedience we begin to look more like Christ.

So who are we going to represent through our actions and behavior? We can enjoy life and represent God at the same time. I hear people say all the time that being a Christian is boring, but I guess they just not doing it right (smile). I'm loving my life and living it out loud. I walk in expectancy everyday of God's continual blessings, and I know when He looks at me that He smiles. When I make mistakes I no longer believe that God is going to withhold from me because God knows our human nature. If we lived perfect lives we wouldn't need Jesus and I know that I need Jesus every minute of the day.

I'm going to let God continue to do a work in me and do my very best to represent Him as He helps me along the way. Remember we are not perfect people, but we are required to let our light so shine before men, that they may see our good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
