Are You Prepared and Ready to Receive?

Greetings,
You have been waiting for quite sometime for answers on things that you've prayed about but nothing has changed. Discouragement has set-in and you feel like giving up. Giving up is not an option and God wants you to get excited about life again.
You see many times we are waiting for God, but the simple truth is God is waiting on us.
When was the last time you truly sought the will of God for your life? The bible says in Proverbs 16:9 that a man's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps. We may have prayed about wanting specific things to take place within our lives, but it's very clear in the Holy Word that God has the final say.
From past experience I can see where God has kept some things from me, and now years later I see why and I'm thankful. If I would have received those things back then that I prayed about years ago, I would have messed everything up because I wasn't ready. I have actually prayed about wanting to have relationships with certain individuals only to find out later that they weren't who they claimed to be. I'm so glad God blocked those relationships and didn't allow me to get involved with those people who could have possibly lead me away from God.
If you are believing God for a spouse, new job, a business, financial blessing, new home, or even the miraculous birth of a child, keep the faith and continue to seek God about your desires. Keep in mind that God wants us to be ready and prepared so that we can enjoy the blessings and give Him all the glory.
Begin to seek out ways that will prepare you for what you are believing and do them. This is faith in action and will show God that you are serious and not just waiting idly wishing and hoping for things to change. If you are believing God for a new job make sure you are putting in the work with getting your resume out and being very specific about the type of job that you are looking for. God loves for us to be specific in our prayer request and this is clearly illustrated in Matthew 20:30-34
Now as they went out of Jericho, a great multitude followed Him. And behold, two blind men sitting by the road, when they heard that Jesus was passing by, cried out, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”
Then the multitude warned them that they should be quiet; but they cried out all the more, saying, “Have mercy on us, O Lord, Son of David!”
So Jesus stood still and called them, and said, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
They said to Him, “Lord, that our eyes may be opened.” So Jesus had compassion and touched their eyes. And immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed Him. You see God wants us to specific with our request, but God wants us to honor Him in prayer by communing with Him in truth and loving Him. God already knows our hearts desire, but it's about relationship and obedience to God.
I suggest you make a list if you haven't already done so of everything you are believing for from God. Be very specific in what you are asking for and make sure that it lines up with the word of God. You can't be out here asking God to give you somebody else husband so make sure your request is honorable. Prepare yourself for the blessing. Get whatever knowledge you can around what you're believing for and ask God to help you get prepared. Make sure that you have repented from any known sin in your life and lastly just wait patiently on God. While you wait make sure you keep your heart right, walk in love and stay close to God. Don't sit by idly waiting, but keep a cheerful heart and look for ways to help others while you wait.
I hope this blog post blesses you today by giving you fresh hope and a reassurance that God wants to bless your life. Continue to walk in faith and remember to Keep Looking Up!!
