When Opportunity Knocks...

Greetings,

With everything that's going on in the world today I know there are many people looking for opportunities to survive right now. Who would have thought that in the year 2020 we would be going through a major world pandemic. I would have never imagined it happening right now. This crisis has changed so many lives. Schools are now closed and will not re-open until the new semester. Businesses such as restaurants and pubs are suffering because of the crowd restrictions, and church doors are closed to stay in compliance with the new regulations.

Many of us have heard this growing up that we should save money for the unexpected. We were told that we should never live beyond our means, and to never live paycheck to paycheck. Many of us have learned the importance of having multiple streams of income and to have a side hustle or on-line business. Well, many didn't take that advice and are now finding themselves in a crisis. This pandemic has shook us in so many ways, and people are just trying to figure out how to survive.

To be totally honest I almost allowed fear to grip me, but I quickly reminded myself of who God was to me. This is so important because the enemy will try to get us so focused on the problem that we miss the opportunities that God will place right in front of us. We must stay focused on God's promises and His truths. We have to walk by faith and not by sight always. We have to ask God for wisdom and expect to hear from Him so that we can be prepared to take action. We must stay focused and trusting God's direction. We have to remember that every problem is an opportunity in disguise. Have you recognized your opportunities yet? Isaiah 55:6 says to seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. We have to seek God and trust even through life's unexpected challenges that opportunities are still available.

God has blessed each and everyone of us with gifts, talents and special skill sets that set us apart. In times like this we must have a desire to evolve and grow. We have to get out of our comfort zones and explore opportunities that can aid us and provide solutions and needs for others. I challenge you to make a list of all the things that you are presently good at. Also, make a list of those things that you desire to do or to learn, but have been putting it off. Next, I would like you to put a plan in action that will help you to get unstuck and out of your comfort zone. There are so many amazing sites that are available in helping people to learn new skills. Alison is one site that comes to mind, and they even offer free on-line certificate programs. You can visit the site at https://alison.com/

I pray that this blog post has been a blessing and that your faith is still fueled and that your hope is anchored in Heaven. I pray that you will look for those Devine opportunities and trust that God is and will always be your source.

Have a blessed Easter, and as always Keep Looking Up!!!
